Vance Malone has an eye for filmmaking. The Wyoming native began his career location scouting and casting. Malone’s ability to bring out natural performances from non-actors swiftly translated into well-received “real people” spots for adidas, Nike and Goodwill. Using interesting faces, places and compositions, his signature performance-based visual storytelling emerged.

Malone’s personable style and attention to detail continue to create a lasting impression on clients and agencies in addition to earning critical acclaim. Vance has enjoyed numerous awards for his commercials and short films such as a Clio for MTV’s Choose of Lose “Permission.” And
his work for Subaru landed both the automaker and DDB NY a Green Award for Excellence in Communication.

His short film Ocularist debuted with an Honorable Mention award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003 and earned critical acclaim across the festival circuit including a Best Cinematography nod and a nomination from the International Documentary Association. Vance screened his most recent short film Losing Lusk at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.
